A new standard in regenerative biomaterial design — JULÄINE™ is a PLLA-based bio-activator. It is biocompatible and biodegradable and designed to deliver progressive and long-lasting facial rejuvenation which, through collagen regeneration, smooths wrinkles and tightens the skin.

It is made up of the following materials:

• 150mg of poly-L-lactic acid microspheres — the active polymer

• 45mg of sodium carboxymethylcellulose — suspending agent for viscosity

• 145mg of non-pyrogenic mannitol — bulking agent making it easier to reconstitute and optimise resuspension in water.

JULÄINE™ is ideal for patients seeking:

Patients with the following may not be suitable candidates:

• Acute or chronic skin disease

JULÄINE™ helps smooth lines and wrinkles while providing an overall tightening effect of the skin.

The standard treatment plan is 3 sessions, spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Full results are typically visible around 3 months after completing the course of treatments.

Immediately after treatment, it is common to experience some swelling, bruising, and short-term discomfort around the injection site.

Results from JULÄINE™ typically last between 12–24 months.

Lactic acid is a small signalling molecule (hydroxycarboxylic acid) that our bodies naturally produce, especially during exercise.

It has a variety of benefits; lactic acid plays a role in actively regenerating tissues and is capable of stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen.

In a recent scientific publication, the first results of an ongoing study on the safety of JULÄINE™ have been described. Preliminary results from this study indicated that the product has a proven safety profile when used under appropriate conditions.

The procedure is generally well tolerated and requires no special preparation. While some patients may experience a brief sensation of mild discomfort, this typically passes quickly.

In the days following treatment, it is advisable to perform some light massage in the area using a facial moisturiser.

After the treatment, patients should avoid exposure to sunlight and UV light until the initial swelling and redness subside. Very high or low temperatures should also be avoided.

A typical JULÄINE™ treatment plan may involve up to 3 sessions, usually spaced 2–4 weeks apart depending on your skin concerns and goals.
