One Stitch Lift

The One Stitch Lift

Also known as a Jowl Lift, the One Stitch Lift is a minimally invasive procedure designed to refresh and redefine the lower face and jawline. By targeting the mid-face, cheeks, sagging skin, and nasolabial folds, it helps reverse the early signs of ageing with a subtle, natural-looking lift.

One Stitch Lift

How the One Stitch Lift Works

This treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic in our minor operating theatre and takes around 45 minutes. Patients can return home the same day.

A small incision is made discreetly in the hairline near the sideburn area. This leaves only a fine scar, often hidden within the hair, and carries a very low risk of hair loss in that area. Dissolving sutures are used, so in most cases there is no need for suture removal.

Most patients are able to return to light activities within 24 hours.

Who is the One Stitch Lift Suitable For?

The One Stitch Lift is a great option if you:

  • Are looking for a subtle, natural lift rather than a dramatic change

  • Have good skin quality and elasticity

  • Are a non-smoker (as smoking can impact healing and results)

  • Are unable to have a facelift under general anaesthetic due to medical reasons

  • Have previously had a facelift and are now looking for a gentle refresh

Combining with Other Treatments

The One Stitch Lift can be complemented with other rejuvenating treatments such as dermal fillers, Botox, or energy-based devices. Your doctor will discuss the safest and most effective options for your individual needs.

Results & Maintenance

The results are a subtle, refreshed, and more youthful appearance. To get the best and longest-lasting outcome, we recommend a tailored facial rejuvenation and maintenance programme. Lifestyle choices such as avoiding smoking and protecting skin from sun exposure will also help preserve your results.

If needed, tissues can be retightened in the future under local anaesthetic.

What you need to know

How does the procedure work?

  • Performed under local anaesthetic in our minor operating theatre.

  • Takes around 45 minutes - 1 hour

  • A small incision is made in the hairline at the sideburn area.

  • Dissolving sutures are used, so stitches usually don’t need to be removed.

  • Scars are discreet and often hidden within the hairline.

What is the downtime?

  • Most people can return to light activities within 24 hours.

  • Expect some swelling or mild bruising, but recovery is generally quick.

  • It’s much less invasive than a traditional facelift.

Who is a good candidate?

  • Someone looking for a subtle lift, not a dramatic change.

  • Patients with good skin quality.

  • Non-smokers (smoking can impact healing and results).

  • Suitable even for people who have previously had a facelift.

  • May be an option if you cannot have general anaesthetic for medical reasons.

How long do the results last?

  • The lift gives a refreshed, youthful appearance with minimal downtime.

  • Results can be prolonged with a good skin maintenance programme.

  • Smoking and excessive sun exposure will reduce the longevity of results.

  • If needed, tissues can be retightened again in the future.

Is this the same as a facelift?

No. The One Stitch Lift is less invasive and offers a subtler result compared to a full facelift. It’s ideal for patients who want a natural refresh without major surgery.

Can I still have other treatments?

Yes, you can usually still have dermal fillers, Botox, threads, or energy-based treatments after this procedure. The doctor will advise what’s safe and effective for you

What should patients know before booking?

  • Results are subtle and natural, not dramatic.

  • A consultation is essential to assess suitability.
